Lady Gaga – 2014 Lifestyle Updates.
Lady Gaga (112 pounds, 5 feet 1 inch).

The pop superstar went through a 25-pound weight gain after enjoying comfort for a season at her parent’s restaurant in New York. She’s been quoted as saying, “I love eating pasta and pizza,” and did not seem apologetic about her weight gain. Shortly after speaking openly about it, she lost the excess weight through healthy eating and exercise. According to Pop Sugar Fitness, healthy options for Gaga include salsa with grain chips, tofu, turkey slices, hummus, and coconut water.

The superstar has also opened up about her previous ten-year battle with bulimia.

Stephani Joanne Angelina Germanotta was born on March 28, 1986 in New York City to a Catholic family with parents Joe and Cynthia. She hails from Italian and French heritage with her parents working hard to support their family. Music was a large part of her life, where early on at the age of four she started learning the piano and got involved in her high school theatre productions. Her mother supported her aspirations, encouraging her to apply and later get admission into the highly competitive Collaborative Arts Project 21 (CAP21), a musical theater-training conservatory at New York University's Tisch School of the Art.

From a young age, Gaga felt different from the other children. She was bullied for her eclectic personality and desire to push boundaries. Responding to this pressure she tried to tone down her individuality, whose very characteristics make her the reigning pop culture icon she is today.

Lady Gaga is a singer who does not only sing creatively but channels it every moment of her life. She has made the streets her canvas and is often photographed wearing complicated high fashion ensembles. This artist has purpose and uses her success into advocating for LGBT youth and for all her “Monster” fans that need to feel like they belong somewhere.

Gaga has long since been on the music scene, starting by performing in venues all over Manhattan until she caught the notice of both record executive Vincent Herbert and fellow artist Akon. Both signed her to their respective labels and it was her debut album The Fame that achieved critical worldwide success. Three albums later, with over 24 million album and 125 million single sales – Gaga is recognized by Time magazine as one of most influential people of the world. Her recent popular singles include "Applause" and "Do What U Want".

Health and Wellness

Watch any music video and you will have proof of Gaga’s toned, sleek body. Her secrets include trainer Harley Pasternak and an individualized fitness plan that has her working out consistently five tines a wee, for at least 25 minutes. If you watch the video “Telephone” where Gaga collaborates with Beyonce you cannot help but admire her flat abs as she dances in a daring bedazzled bra and thong with her back-up dancers. Gaga is not afraid to bare almost all of herself and the reason is simple: crunches. A basic crunch turns into a reverse crunch and then further into a double crunch.

Yoga promotes both the physical and emotional healing needed to recover from Gaga’s highly rigid schedule Bikram and hot power yoga work to provide inspiration and keep her body limber. Gaga credits her longtime NYC-based teacher Tricia Donegan as a source of positivity. Diet is also important in maintaining her body as Gaga follows the 5 Factor Diet, which requires the participant to eat five times a day with two of those being meals and three times being snacks. To keep herself motivated the diet has a built in cheat day, so that the singer has some leeway.
