Elizabeth Banks – up to "2014" Lifestyle Updates.
Elizabeth Banks (123 pounds, 5 feet 5 inches).

The talented, gorgeous, and funny actress is both down to earth and Hollywood chic. When prepping for a role, she simply cuts out anything white: no rice, no bread, no pasta, and no sugar. Instead she opts for “tons of protein and veggies.” Her reason for this is she knows she has portion control issues and admits that when she eats out with her husband they “always split one appetizer and one entrée.”

Banks was born on February 10, 1974 in Pittsfield, Massachusetts to conventional parents Ann and Mark who worked at a bank at as a factory worker for GM respectively. The actress hails from Irish and English descent so that she grew up practicing both as a Catholic and a Protestant. Banks is one of the fewer actresses who attended university through her full education, and even going on to get her MFA at the American Conservatory Theater. Notably, she was a part of the Delta Delta Delta Sorority and graduated magna cum laude.

This American actress is a triple threat, with the titles producer and director also under her name. She has starred in wide variety of films with the most successful centering on comedy such as The 40-Year-Old Virgin (2005), Role Models (2008), Pitch Perfect (2012), Movie 43 (2013). More recently, she starred in blockbusters The Lego Movie (2014), and has a role in the mega-franchise The Hunger Games (2012–15). To witness a nostalgic blast from the past, the 2006 – 2009 seasons of Scrubs has Banks playing a reoccurring role as Dr. Kim Briggs.

Banks is a rare species in Hollywood – she is a part of a long-term happy marriage with two children. She married sportswriter and producer Max Handelman, a man she met on her first day of college. Interestingly, the actress converted to her husband's faith Judaism and is investing in practicing the religion to the best of her ability.

Health and Wellness

"The Hunger Games" media appearances revealed the actress toned and highly controlled body as she often wore skin clinging dresses. Her secret to a fantastic body is portion control and following a gluten-free diet where she skips the wheat and goes for protein and vegetables instead. She is a believer in the recent health food trend of kale and eats it frequently.

In terms of exercise, the actress is not new to athletics, as she has been playing some form of sports all her life. A routine of intermittent cardio exercise, weight training and plyometrics paired with lifestyle activities like swimming, yoga and going for long walks keep her looking amazing. One move that she tries to include in her routine is the sawing plank. You are planked on your forearms, and slowly push your weight forward, which brings the chin above the fingertips. Then this move forces you to pull your body back to the starting position by only relying on the core body strength to build abdominal strength.
